What does a brilliant idea look like, anyway?

Event Date:
Thu, 02/02/2012 - 10:00 - 14:00

Orientation Session

The purpose of this initial session is to introduce you to the program, its purpose and requirements and help you to determine whether it is appropriate for you and your current circumstances.

Brilliant Idea is committed to assisting women to achieve financial independence through small business ownership. Do you have the emotional fortitude, skills and support required to establish, operate and sustain a small business? Through discussion and guided exercises, we will explore some of the special challenges faced by women trying to achieve financial independence through their own business.

We will discuss the crucial ingredients to a successful business. This includes having an assessable market, compelling product (or service), and executing profitably.

Finally, we will explain the Brilliant Idea loan application process and arm you with some tips that will make your application stand out in this highly competitive program.

We plan to invite some guest speakers to join us for lunch.

Please Note

Seating for this session is very limited. We do send a reminder once you have made a booking. We understand that circumstances change and appreciate your consideration in letting us know if you are unable to attend once you have made a booking.  This ensures that other interested women can participate. We also provide lunch for free and appreciate your consideration of this expense and waste if you are not able to participate.

We would like to accommodate as many women with ideas who are likely to apply for a loan as possible. If you are interested in working with us in some other capacity, we ask that you please contact Lighthouse to arrange a meeting to discuss, rather than taking a place in the session. Lighthouse provides these services free of charge thanks to funding from the ACT Government and Epicorp Limited.
