My background has developed from International Modelling, Makeup Artist, Designer, Tailor, Artist, Mother of two grown children and as a Motivational Speaker, this experience has given me the expertise and knowledge to provide any business or individual with the skills to stand out in the crowd. These skills will give them the edge needed in today’s competitive world based on structured training presented with an enjoyable and uncomplicated approach.
My reason for starting this business, which has been a challenge, was necessary after divorcing a few years ago. The most difficult challenge has always been fear of failing, however I believe you only learn from your mistakes and I see any small obstacle as a learning experience. I believe if you have a good positive attitude you can do just about anything and if you provide value for money you can’t go wrong as word of mouth in Canberra is very important.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of my business is to see the transformation of the people I work with, as their appearance changes so does their confidence and sense of happiness. I had the pleasure of working with one lady in her early fifties not long ago. This particular client had lost her job and her partner at the same time and she was feeling at an all time low. After several consultations we changed her hair style, she learned how to apply makeup which she had never worn before and I restyled her wardrobe. By mixing and matching the clothing she already owned a little differently then we only needed to add a few pieces to make a huge difference to complete her wardrobe, creating a suitable, compact and flexible collection of garments. This client is so very happy now and it changed her outlook on life. She feels great and loves her new look. In less than 2 weeks she found new employment and has never looked back. She says she also has added confidence when on a date, where as she thought that part of her life was over. She emails me every now and then, to give me an update. I love to hear how she is going; having contributed to her happiness and well being makes me feel rewarded.
My advice to anyone who is considering starting a new business is to make sure you love what you do and it will never seem like work.
